CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES FOR SANTA

This chocolate chip cookie recipe is a classic that will evoke warm Christmas memories and is certainly Santa-worthy. If these don't convince Santa to hand over the goods, nothing will.

Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tbs baking soda
1/4 tbs salt
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
200 grams chocolate chips

Method
Heat the oven to 180C/fan. Mix the sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, coconut and brown sugar in a big bowl. Add the egg and melted butter and beat until the blend is sticky. Fold the chocolate chips carefully into the mixture. Place baking sheet on a tray and heap one table spoon of cookie dough on the sheet, spaced apart, until the cookie dough is finished from the bowl. Bake for 12 minutes until firm, then leave to cool on the sheets. Enjoy fresh from the oven with an ice-cold glass of milk.
